I LOVE me a good sauce, dip, or dressing! I believe you can make just about any food taste good with the right one. I mean think about it, even something nasty is easier to choke down with the right sauce, dip or dressing, right!? Right! It’s true what they say, the sauce really IS boss!
Here, I want to share with you guys this White Sauce recipe that I absolutely LOVE! It’s a hit in my home, and it has become such because it’s super good and super versatile. we use it on burrito bowls, roasted veggies, as a dipping sauce for french fries, chicken strips, and raw veggies. Now, I know you might look at the ingredients and see the Vegenaise mayo and think, “WTF”. But, I’m telling you this sauce is gooood! Vegenaise is NOT your typical mayo. It’s a completely different taste. I’ll tell you what, try it and if you find it gross, you can cuss me out in the comment! Deal?
Now I have to tell you…this sauce recipe is SIMPLE (duh). Just get all the ingredients, put them in a blender, and mix.
Super simple, right?
White Sauce (GF & VEGAN)
1/4 cup plain unsweetened coconut yogurt
1/4 cup Vegenaise mayo
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt and pepper each
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Refrigerate any leftovers.
*I have come to learn that doubling this recipe works best for my family of four. It goes fast!
